“My mission is to help your child develop their own unique and soul-fueling relationship with art, whatever that might look like. My classroom is a space that invites curiosity, creative problem-solving, and unhindered imagination!” - Ms. Julia
About Julia
Ms. Julia is a lifelong artist who brings a rich background in design, mentorship, and hands-on creativity to the after-school art program. She attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied Product Design and Human-Computer Interaction, cultivating a unique appreciation for the process of breathing life into creative ideas. Julia has a wealth of experience guiding young minds, having worked closely with children both as an au pair and as a product design coach for teenagers.
In her own creative practice, Julia embraces all varieties of mediums to serve the most faithful expression of an idea. Her classes focus on tactile experimentation and storytelling, encouraging students to be clever and resourceful with materials while embracing creative constraints. Outside of the classroom, you can find her recording and co-producing her debut album. She hopes to inspire her students to trust their instincts, explore new materials, and discover the joy of their own creative voices.
